Hollywood Stock Exchange for Real?
Not sure if you have ever heard of this website or not, but basically it’s “game” where you buy and sell movies and celebrities just like you would stocks. And just like stocks, the supply and demand determine the price that you can trade them for. The website even features a ticker showing the hottest commodities like a real life Stock Exchange.
Understood this is a game for points, right? Well according to this article from The Hollywood Reporter, as of April 20th 2010 they will become a real-money commodity exchange. Apparently HSX is in the final stages of getting approved in the regulatory review by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
We aren’t sure if we would invest or not, and if we would, how much would we. We can tell you for certain though, we will be there checking it out on April 20th, heck we are already addicted to the site and we just started several minutes ago! They may be on to something here.
